What are your opening hours?
All of our Washpod’s run 24/7 every day of the year! The Washpod’s are unmanned & have contactless payment options with your safety in mind.

What payment types do you accept?
Master Card, Visa and EFTPOS. PayWave is available at all sites. We do not accept cash.

What is the maximum height a vehicle can be to go through the Washpod?
2.1m max.

Can I go through the carwash if I my vehicle has roof racks?
Yes, as long as no part of the roof racks or what’s on them  protrudes beyond the full width of the car or above 2.1m. Please be aware that some aluminum accessories, such as roof racks, could potentially be dulled off by the low pH active soaps. While we take all care with the maintenance of our wash equipment, use of the Washpod is at your own risk.

Can I go through the carwash if I my vehicle has bike racks?
Your vehicle must not have any extended external protrusions including bike racks.

Can I use the Washpod if I’m towing a trailer?
No, please do not take trailers through the Washpod’s.

Is a car with aluminum accessories ok to go through the Washpod?
Some aluminum accessories such as some ute lids and some roof racks could potentially be dulled off by the low pH active soaps. If you have aluminum accessories, we suggest you wash your vehicle using another method as we cannot guarantee that your vehicle will not be affected. Please note that whilst we take all care with the maintenance of our wash equipment, use of the Washpod is at your own risk.

How do I use the Washpod?
Pay from your car at the payment terminal.
A green arrow will illuminate at the entrance of the Washpod to signal that it’s time to enter.
Please follow the green arrow and voice prompts once in the wash.
Drive VERY SLOWLY into the wash to get the full benefit of the Underbody Wash (an optional add on) – there is no hurry as the arch will only begin to move once the vehicle is in position. The Underbody Wash works on a sensor, so if you drive through quickly, it may not work as effectively.
Once the illuminated RED X is showing, PLEASE STOP & DO NOT SHIFT YOUR VEHICLE, as this will cause the wash to fail and you may not get the full wash.

What are your top tips for getting the most out of a Washpod carwash?
If your car has not been washed in longer than a month or is particularly dirty, we recommend selecting the Premium (basic) wax free wash. This will wash your vehicle without locking in dirt as Premium doesn’t include a wax coating. Then follow up on the same visit with the Executive (top) wash for best results. After this and in normal driving circumstances (not using off road or gravel roads), we suggest using the Executive (top) wash fortnightly for a superior clean to keep your car looking great.

Please note, if your vehicle has caked on dirt, road stabilising lime from road works or bird poo, this will need to be removed with a mechanical action (like a hand wash with a brush) prior to using the Washpod.

My paint work has pre existing damage. Can I still use the Washpod?
No, do not use the Washpod if you have pre-existing damage including faded or cracked paint work and a compromised clear coat.

My vehicle has caked on dirt. What do you recommend?
Washpod NZ’s carwashes are Touch Free Carwashes – designed to clean everyday dirt (not built-up dirt, roadworks stabilisers or bird poo) and with a focus on care of your car’s paintwork and clear coat. Any built-up dirt that has been there for some time would be better removed by a mechanical action such as a brush. Dirt from roadworks such as road stabilising lime, (alkaline) may not be fully removed using a high pH solution. This sort of dirt may require a brush action to remove. Think of it as rinsing egg off your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher!
